Monday 27 July – FUORI FESTIVAL
Complete Bach: Three-Part Inventions
Carlo Pernigotti: Harpsichord
A journey into Bach’s contrapuntal writing. Carlo Pernigotti performs the complete set of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Three-Part Sinfonias (BWV 787–801), the fifteen works conceived by the composer both as stylistic exercises and as a true compositional workshop. Short yet remarkably rich pieces, they were written to teach performers how to make several independent voices “sing” together on a single keyboard instrument.
Heard in sequence, they form a compact portrait of Bach’s contrapuntal style, balancing pedagogical rigour with musical invention.
Free admission, no booking required.
One hour before the events, at 8:00 p.m., a guided tour will be offered inside the Romanesque monuments hosting the concerts.
