Count Almaviva is in love with the beautiful Rosina, who is kept under the watchful eye of her jealous guardian, Don Bartolo. To win her heart, he conceals his noble identity and presents himself as Lindoro, a poor student.
With the ingenious help of Figaro—and through a whirlwind of disguises, secret messages and Don Basilio’s malicious intrigues—the lovers devise a daring plan to outwit Bartolo. Amid comic misunderstandings and unexpected twists, truth is finally revealed, love triumphs, and authority is joyfully mocked.
FuoriOpera’s production transforms Rossini’s comic masterpiece into a vibrant “theatre of fabric”: a colourful world of shifting scenery, playful movement and visual invention that highlights the wit, energy and lightness of the score. Figaro becomes both the comic driving force and the master of ceremonies, disguises turn into irresistible visual gags, and Rossini’s sparkling music propels the action with infectious vitality and drives the show with its unstoppable rhythm.
In this production, The Barber of Seville is more than an opera to be watched—it is an experience to be shared. FuoriOpera brings Rossini’s exuberant comedy beyond the traditional stage, inviting the audience to become part of the fun until the final curtain.
